I'll be back in a flash. I promise.
The Homestuck Fandom is literally the worst fandom and has absolutely no redeeming qualities.
If you think otherwise that just means that you are a part of the Homestuck fandom and therefore your opinion doesn’t matter because you are, in fact, shit. Just like your fandom.
Less than 3 miles from where Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, another young black man was gunned down by police this afternoon in North St. Louis.
Please don’t take this as St. Louis Police joining in on being evil and tyrannical. This is an isolated incident. Even if he did have some sort of mental issue, he charged at two cops with a knife. He came within 3-4 feet of them after multiple warnings. Not only that, but what I assume were Ferguson “supporters” came and tried to stir up shit. It was an insanely unfortunate and poorly timed isolated incident and people are trying to turn it on truly innocent cops. Don’t do that.
is this why the show was taken off nick?
So this is what air benders can do. Sucking the air out of people’s lungs. Just as cool as lightening bending if you ask me
No I don’t think you guys understand this is frightening
Airbenders are pretty much the most powerful benders. A firebender has to create fire. A waterbender is most powerful on the open seas as much as an earthbender is on land. But air is literally everywhere.
The Air Nomads weren’t dangerous because they chose not to be.
Quick reminder that when they return to Aang’s home in the original series, Monk Gyatso is surrounded by dozens of skeletons.
The skeletons of Fire Nation soldiers, who were supposed to be nigh unstoppable because of Sozin’s comet.
Also remember that air is a hard thing to block, it was the only thing that could floor Amon, and multiple times at that.
And then there’s the fact the Airbenders can fly, and their entire style is defensive in nature, it’s evasive and about redirecting force.
You can argue about how powerful a master Firebender or Waterbender might be, but a master Airbender is pretty much untouchable
I actually adore her because I’ve NEVER seen a black person get to be so fucking frank and honest about racial injustice on tv.
She’s real, she’s smart, she’s witty, she’s informed and she’s fucking unapologetic. I’m obsessed.
"Looting? I thought these were supposed to be nonviolent protests"
I know it’s incredible! People are literally coming out of the woodwork to comment on this photoset to focus on the looting headline with “well yes it is nice they were helping people hit with the tear gas, but stealing is still wrong uwu” as if they’re back to kindergarten morality.
Like everyone who’s gone to boot camp I’ve been tear gassed. They put about 50+ of you in a gas chamber and toss it in. You have to stay there until your rank is allowed to exit. Before that though, you have to say your name, rank, and social security number. You then exit and file into ranks (again) outside and are not allowed at any point to rinse your face or eyes for the entire day.
That right there? Easily the worst part of boot camp. My eyes were literally swollen shut. I was blinded for a good 30 minutes and my chest hurt for days.
I have zero problem and not and ounce of judgement for people raiding a mcdonalds that can easily afford to repair damage for ANYTHING to help ease the shittiness that is being tear gassed. Esp because every one of us in boot were medically sound to deal with tear gas. Children, asthmatics, people prone to panic and anxiety attacks, the elderly as sooo many more are NOT going to handle tear gas well at ALL.
Or that smoke the police use either.
It’s easy to sit there and judge someone from the safety of your home and say things like “it’s just tear gas” or “it can’t be that bad”.
Fuck you. As someone who HAS been gassed, you need to stfu.
